The number of new Android phones coming onto the market in 2010 has been phenomenal. The trend looks set to continue in 2011 as well, as the public and hanset manufacturers see that there is demand for the phones.
Android has stepped up to the plate where other platforms haven’t. It’s not really provided a “challenger” to the iPhone but if you buy an Android phone now, you’re buying into something different. You’re buying into a different type of platform.
Inevitably there have been two camps that have emerged. There are the Android people and there are the iPhone or Apple people. In these two groups of people’s eyes their choice of phone is far superior to the other and it’s funny to see how passionate some of these people have become about it.
There are some great forums out there where you can read the two “sides” locked in a battle of words over their favorite phone. Quite funny but also an interesting observation of human behavior.
2011 will see even more phones for Android fans to get excited about and the technology will advance even further, exciting times for the mobile world.
